1. Please give a brief description of your business and services provided.
Seven13 Design was founded on the principle of providing affordable, creative and professional design solutions for the community. We offer a range of services including commercial and retail design, graphic design, interior animation/ renderings, drafting and building permit services.
2. How did you get started?
I've always believed that in order to build a better infrastructure for the future, one must never stop learning, adapting and questioning the potential for better solutions. As a result, I dove head first into the crazy all nighters and earned a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from Woodbury and UCLA. Working at reputable large firms helped me amass a great deal of professional experience in small and large scale projects... but let's be honest. Who wouldn't want to be their own boss??
Bottom line: It's an incredible feeling to see you and your client's vision materialize to transform perception and atmosphere.
3. Why is Downtown LA, Little Tokyo, and the Arts District community important to you?
Besides this location being the first Opodz project designed under Seven13 Design company, the eclectic mixture of ancient culture and modern pop makes for a perfect Open Source Network backdrop.
4. As an entrepreneur / business owner, what advice can you give for success to our entrepreneurs?
Cliché but "Love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life".
5. Name one thing interesting / quirky about you and/or your business.
I can spend hours building "castles" with a deck of playing cards.
