1. Please give a brief description of your business and services provided.

Bushido Brewery crafts beer and sake in tiny batches.

2. How did you get started?

I wanted to have a better understanding of beer. I thought, “what better way to learn about beer than to make it myself?” So I started brewing and was in love with it even before the first batch was finished.

3. Why is Downtown LA, Little Tokyo, and the Arts District community important to you?

Bushido Brewery is the combination of my passion for Japan and Japanese things, art and creativity, social spaces, community, service, collaboration, and fine alcoholic beverages. Remarkably, all of these elements also come together right here in DTLA, Little Tokyo, and the Arts District. It’s a perfect fit.

4. As an entrepreneur / business owner, what advice can you give for success to our entrepreneurs?

Don’t wait for anyone else’s permission or approval to do what you want to do.

5. Name one thing interesting / quirky about you and/or your business.
